Could you honeslty say that you have patience with God? That you do not mind waiting on Him?
Chances are, if you are like me? You probably do not have much!
You see it's interesting that God has so much patience with us (for more info click here:
God's patience!). Yet, we do not have much with Him! Do we?
We always seem to, "want, what we want"! And, "when we want it"!! And we believe that if He does not give us what we
want, or when we want it. That He does not love us! You see we have little concept of God's love for us. How deep it really
is:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16 NKJV)
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!
Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him."
(1 John 3:1 NKJV)
We do not take into consideration that God's timing is everything. Or that He knows what is best for us!
Whether it is in relationships, jobs, or buying a home. Or any host of petitions that we send up before the Lord. We
seem to equate that when things do not happen when, or as we wish. that He does not care about us.
But nothing could be futher from the truth:
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:19 NKJV)
God always has our best interest at heart. Yet we are much like children! We throw "tantrums" when we feel our
needs (wants) are not being met.
You see we do not seem to take into account that God knows what is best for us! We would rather make our own poor decisions,
than listen to the one who knows all! And not only knows all, but created us:
"He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created."
(Genesis 5:2 NKJV)
You see we tend to let our "emotions" rule us! We do not consider that we can deceive ourselves into thinking that something
that is bad for us. Is good for us:
“ The heart is deceitful above all things,
And
desperately wicked;
Who can know it?"
(Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV)
